Academic Success Program
The Academic Success Program provides support to non-EAL students who have failed at least 2 subjects during a quarter. Both middle and high schools have academic deans who are responsible for checking student grades. The Deans contact the individual students with multiple failures to arrange a meeting time to discuss the circumstances. After determining a learning plan in collaboration with the students, academic support may include study skills and time management workshops or content assistance in conjunction with the subject area teachers. The support continues for the next academic quarter and is reviewed at the end of the following grading period to determine if continued services are necessary.
